Visiting Yellowstone in Winter can be a bit of a challenge as most of the roads are closed to regular traffic. Transportation options are mostly limited to slowcoaches, cross country skis, and snowmobiles. The weather can be quite cold. A cold winter day produces a lovely clear blue sky. The geysers are enveloped in steamy warmth. Wildlife tends to congregate around these warm spots. The view of these snowy mountains was simply breathtaking. Winter in Yellowstone should be on everyone's bucket list. It is well-worth staying in the park, at the Old Faithful Snow Lodge is the only one of the lodges that allows you to stay in this awesome place
