Florida is home to more large (first- and second-magnitude) springs than any other state in the nation. Springs are the window into the health of our groundwater, which is the source of 90% of drinking water for Floridians.Today, the 1,000 acre Rainbow Springs State Park is considered one of the of the most beautiful of the State Park springs. The spring has been many opportunities for recreation, including an amusement park an a phosphate mine. Now folks come to photograph, kayak, swim and tube. I love clarity of the blue green color
