Description
This was such an amazing day for photographing Fall color, The trail at Max Patch climbs the mountain so you look down on the lovely color. Then, as you drop down, you find yourself hiking in the midst of the color. This is one of the peaks along the Appalachian Trail in the Pisgah National Forest in North Carolina. It's reasonably close and easily accessible to the Blue Ridge Parkway.
